Philly's modern, traditional Heavy Metal trailblazers, Corners of Sanctuary (COS), will be supporting Last in Line on Halloween night, live at the Sherman Theater in Stroudsburg, PA. The show was just added following the band's recent completion of a string of West Coast dates that included a performance at the legendary Whisky A Go Go.
"We are unbelievably excited about being part of this show," said COS bassist James Pera. "There weren't plans to do anymore shows this year, but when this opportunity presented itself, it was a no brainer," he added.
Last in Line includes former Dio members, guitarist Vivian Campbell and drummer Vinnie Appice. The group will be performing songs off their own albums along with select Dio classics from "Holy Diver,” "Last in Line" and "Scared Heart." Rounding out the band are bassist Phil Soussan (Ozzy) and singer Andrew Freeman (Offspring).
"As players and fans, having the chance to perform with this level of talent is surreal for us," said COS guitarist Mick Michaels. "The Dio band helped shape Metal's sound and style back in 1983...it's simply a privilege for us," Michaels added.
In addition, COS is also currently working to complete their latest EP, "What We Leave Behind," and looks to have it released before the end of the year. New studio and several live tracks from the band's recent tours will be included on the EP. The band also promises the release of a new Holiday single in late November. "Look for it around Black Friday," said COS drummer Mad T. "It's become an annual tradition for us and something we really enjoy doing...what's the Holiday season without a Merry Metal Xmas from Corners of Sanctuary?" he said with a smile.
Corners of Sanctuary is also offering to give away free MP3 downloads of their album "Finding Sanctuary” to any fans who, in turn, would add the album to their Spotify playlists and share it.
