Blutrină, grindcore, Loud Rage Music, INSANE VOICES LABIRYNTH,

The Romanian grindcore band Blutrină, have released the EP “DiscoBallz” on 28th of April 2018 via Loud Rage Music, the band has already  released the  debut album “Looney Fuckin' Grind” in 2016 through the same label.
Started out in 2012 with Urmuz, Putrid and Lycan as a band wanting to have some fun while grinding out.
Heavily influenced by Looney Tunes and a number of other cartoons!
Let's get to know this unique group.

Hi guys! Welcome into Italian Voices Labirynth Voices’s pages.
I'd like to start right away with asking you to introduce yourselves.

Hi, we are 5 guys from Timisoara, Romania who like to have fun and at the same time play some music. This was the main idea of the band since its formation, that everyone has fun on stage (I suppose you already saw our stage outfits hehe) and off it.

We are:
Malphas PissVocals - Vocals
 Urmuz ScrotStrings - Guitar/Vocals
Lycan BassDefecator - Bass/Vocals
Putrid Clismatronic - Drums/Vocals
Doktor Schnabel - Der Pestarzt - Vocals/Additional Looney Medicine

How was the idea of your EP “DiscoBallz” born?

The idea for the EP came to us out of the enjoyment we all get from old songs from the 80s and 90s. As you may have already heard, we cover such songs as “Careless Whisper” from George Michael and Salt-N-Pepa’s “Push It”.

Looney Tunes and Napalm Death, South Park and Sepultura (I named only a few names because the list is long). What is the combination of cartoons and heavy metal?
Only Beavis & Butt-head comes to mind as an association of ideas.

We’re talking about grindcore, the combination fits us like a glove, since we love watching cartoons (each one of us likes different cartoons, from Looney Toons to superhero comics, animated or not) and at the same time we love listening to heavy, brutal music as can be heard in our music.

How would you describe the band’s sound to someone who has never heard it?

Do you like cartoons? Looney Toons? Family Guy? Are you a metalhead who likes having a laugh from time to time while listening to metal? Do you also feel nostalgic for the 80s and 90s? Well search no more my friend, because Blutrina is what you need (hehe)!

In a balance between arrangement, lyrics and melody, which is most important to you?

Well, I'd say that they are all equally important. Different songs are composed in different manners. For some, the lyrics come first and we build a fitting song, for others, the riffs come first and then we add some pig squeals and punishing drums.
We definitely start paying more attention to our song writing these days.

“Disco Ballz’s” artwork is very eighties, where did the idea for the cover come from?

You just answered your own question there (hehe). It’s derived from the 80’s discotheque atmosphere, hence the disco ball and the DJ and all that.
Sebastian Stancu, who also did Looney Fuckin' Grind's artwork, is the mastermind behind the cover.

Is there a song which could totally define you as a band?

From our Looney Fuckin' Grind album, Uranus.

What kind of message you want to transmit with your music? What do you hope people continue to take away from your songs?

Have fun, enjoy the music and don’t take yourselves too seriously, life is full of negativity, let's not forget to be human (we don’t take ourselves too serious either hehe).

How important do you think social media has been to your band?  What do you think of this internet era for the musical scene?

Social media is one of the most important tools these days. There are bands who rise only through social media and good marketing. It's really hard to be a touring band without any online activity. People want to get in touch with you easily, otherwise they lose interest.
We have pretty much ignored social media, other than having a facebook page and posting once every few months. But that will change slowly.

Would you like to say something else for our readers?

Stay Looney and thank you for having us!
