Hello guys and welcome! Congratulations about your new album “Love
Death & Flies”…really refreshing work! How do you feel about the feedback?

Thank you so much! We are very happy about it, we are receiving very good reviews from both, press and fans, we are very proud of.

Please let us know a few words about the history of the band.

Nitro (drummer), Javier (guitar) and Bárbara (vocals) used to played in different bands some years ago and we rehearsed in the same premises. We all had a very good relationship and common musical interests so we decided to start a band together. Three years later Buffalo Marquez (bass) and Cone (guitar) joined us.

You’ve been considered as one of the best Spanish rock-metal bands and
your singer Barbara had been nominated as the best Spanish rock singer. How much heavy is this burden and how do you feel about your local activities?

Unfortunately it has no much relevance in our country, everybody knows that success is no necessary lingered with talent. However these recognitions are very heartwarming for an artist.

Back to your new album. Let us know a few things about the recordings
and the artwork.

We have recorded and mixed the album in The Cadillac Blood Studios with Andy C (Lords of Black) who has helped us to grow much more as musicians. We are very proud of the result, we think the sound quality is very professional. According to the artwork it has been designed by Hoeresis, a Spanish artist we admire at. We love the creepy art vision she has! And of course we need to mention our photographer Nat Enemede one of the best in this art, her pictures introduce darkness in our artwork, and we love that.

How can you describe your own sound?

Our sound is born from the roots of southern rock with the power of today's metal.
The new album “Love, Death & Flies” is our hardest sound that shows the lyrical influences of Poe, Bécquer and the horror cinema of the 80s. Victorian streets, dark passages and a decadent romanticism drive you to reach the zenith in “Damnified”, a reflection of the approach to wilder southern sounds. You will find powerful voices that flies through melodies, screaming and opera as well as sharp guitars and devastating drums.

What are your main influences?

In metal and rock style we love bands as Alter Bridge, Black Stone Cherry, Blues Saraceno, Shinedown, In This Moment, Mr Big, Halestorm and many more. But we also listen to blues and crountry artists, even some band members love rap and hip-hop.

How do you feel about your last video clip for the song “Tiger Tamer”. Any
funny or strange incident that happened?

Tiger Tamer video´s director is Ix Valieri, a very creative artist here in Spain. We are very pleased with the result because the video tells exactly what the lyrics say. The revenge a tortured tiger takes against his tamer, it is a true based story. In this video there were full of features such as a fire artist, clowns, a magician and very different circus artists with whom we loved to work with. We did the shoothing in a farm with horses which got scared with the sound of the whip and the sound volume, poor dears, but nobody got injured of course!

What is your biggest dream about Barbara Black?

Our biggest dream is playing live in the Wacken Open Air Festival and also in a Spanish TV programme that we love the most called Late Motiv by the hoster Andreu Buenafuente.

You have performed live a lot of times! What are your future plans about
live performances?

We are going to play live the new tour dates we have booked here all over Spain. We have also an important event the next November 6th playing live our new album in Madrid. Moreover, we are looking forward for some new dates abroad. We are preparing a very artistic live show that we´d like to play whenever is possible.

Tell us a few words about lyrics?

Barbara really likes to write about animal rights, feminism, experiencies that have  happened to her, such as paranormal experiences or a car accident she had some years ago. IShe´s also inspired by other artists' works for instance photographies, books, series, movies, characters and sculptures.
